The EFFECTIVE way to Kegel Exercise

Does sneezing make you pee?

How about coughing, jumping, running, or when you lift something?

These are symptoms of stress incontinence.

Do you have strong urges to pee that just happen suddenly? These are symptoms of urge incontinence, also known as overactive bladder.

Do you experience both? Then you have symptoms of mixed incontinence.

These are all forms of urinary incontinence.

You're not alone!

It’s estimated that 25% - 45% of women suffer from a form of urinary incontinence, which is leakage at least once in the past year.

And the rates increase with age:
20% - 30% of young women, 30% - 40% of middle-aged women, and up to 50% of older women suffer from a form of urinary incontinence.

What's causing this?

Stress incontinence begins when your pelvic floor muscles are stretched, resulting in decreased bladder support. Your bladder drops and pushes on your vagina.

As a result, you can’t tighten the muscles that close off your urethra. The most common causes are childbirth, age, and weight gain.

Urge incontinence, or overactive bladder, begins when a muscle in your bladder pushes urine out involuntarily…you didn’t tell it to. This can be caused by an irritation to the bladder, emotional stress, or various neurological conditions.

Have you tried a fix?

No matter which form of incontinence you may have, what your age is, or what caused it, for many women incontinence is an embarrassing problem that they don’t want to talk about. They manage it as best they can on their own.

The first choice many women make is adjusting their lifestyle. They’ll cross their legs when they sneeze or laugh. They’ll check ahead for bathrooms when they go out.

As the problem gets worse they may wear tampons or pads more often, drink less water, and stay at home more.

The Key to Kegel Exercises is You!

Many practitioners recommend Kegel exercises as the first choice for treatment. They are a natural choice that you can do almost anywhere without side effects. Kegel exercises strengthen your pelvic floor muscles.

The key to success is you! You have to find the right muscles, work only them, do the right number of sets each time, and enough sets each week.

Some women are successful, but many women get frustrated. Am I working the right muscles? For how long? Do I have to do these forever? When will I start to leak less? Many sources will say it takes at least 3 weeks, but for many women it can take longer.
